Gerould Creative has written and produced unique shows that encourage imagination and participation by the audiences.

With Disney dominating most well known fairy tales, Gerould Creative found that by following the actual fairy tale story lines (with additional characters at times and eliminating the cruel endings) the children accepted the characters even though they went by different names.

Available for Production

Gerould Creative is making its series of children’s plays available for production. These original scripts, written by Rosemarie Gerould, Robert C. Gerould and Kris Hunt have been successfully produced by such theatres as the Magic Circle Theatre, Roseville, California, the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival, Fair Oaks, California and the Orlando Shakespeare Festival, Orlando, Florida.

The plays have been written with the attention span of young children in mind. Most run around 50 minutes. Many of the plays contain a subtle message, such as the value of sharing, or respect for others.

Care has been taken to include a lot of action in the plays, but the violence associated with the stories by the Grimm brothers has been eliminated. For example, in "Sleeping Beauty" during the battle between the prince and the witch, instead of throwing punches they throw insults, with the same effect.
